PITLOCHRY COMMUNITY
IN EMERGENCIES ~ CALL 999
Pitlochry Sits Within Scotland's Highland North Perthshire
The Town Is Complemented By Outlying Rural Communities
Pitlochry Community First Responders (PCFR) Assists The Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS)
Due To Our Rural Location, The Ambulance Service Often Has To Travel Time-Consuming Distances To Reach Emergencies.
As A Solution, SAS Have Trained Local, Unpaid Volunteer First Responders Who Reside In Pitlochry And its Surrounds.
They Can Get To An Emergency Scene Quicker And Administer Vital Life-Saving First-Aid Until The Ambulance Service Arrives.
The Ambulance Control Centre (ACC) Deploys The On-Duty Responders When A Local 999 Call Is Received.
Using Their Own Vehicles, Day Or Night, Pitlochry First Responders Operate In A Limited-Area Polygon, Which Is Set By SAS.
